Facilitator Guide

Duration: 60-90 minutes

Prerequisite: CCBT Intensive Overview

Focus of Session: Church-Centric Funding is essential to carrying out the work of the Church. Resources require prayer and financial support. Communication plays a key role in creating a network of prayer and financial support. This session will develop a biblical foundation for the Church’s involvement and provide practice in communicating with people in the Church.

Introduction

Obj: Elicit background knowledge from participants on the topic

Provide sticky notes to participants. Pose the question “What is the purpose of communication?” Ask them to answer on a sticky note anonymously to post on a poster/board labeled “Communication.” Pose the question “How does God provide for financial needs?” Ask them to answer on a sticky note anonymously to post on a poster/board labeled “Funding.”

Facilitator will read over the answers on the sticky notes and report common themes to the large group. Set the intention for this session: We are going to examine what the Bible says about communication and funding.

Small Group Bible Study

Obj: Examine a biblical foundation for communication and funding

Divide participants into groups no larger than 6. Display passage with discussion questions:
