If you have an inexperienced team of translators working to create the resources, doing OBS first can be a great way for them to develop their translation skills, learn how to use the software for creating resources and learn the basic process of resource creation. The process used for create OBS is the same basic process as Bible translation. There are 3 additional steps for Bible translation that are the most challenging steps. Doing OBS first enables a new team to master the basics before adding those additional more difficult processes. The translationNotes and translationQuestions for Open Bible Stories are created the same way as they are for the Bible translation resources but they are unique to OBS. However, the translationWords are the same for OBS and the Bible. You will continue to add to them but you will build on what you created for OBS.
