Part 1: Prepare for Language Community Check π
Objectives:
- To gather all necessary tools to conduct a language community check
- To find willing participants in the target language

π₯ People
- Choose checkers from the translation team to train on the process.
- Invite and gather many native speakers of the target language.
- Include different genders, ages, positions, education levels, etc.
- Divide the community into different groups, so that one group can check for natural/appealing language and another group can check for clear/understandable meaning.

Train checkers from the translation team on this process:
- Natural/Appealing language check πΈ
- Play or read the story to the community group.
- Ask members to stop the story when the language is not natural.
- Record how the members say the words or phrases to make it natural.
- Clear/Understandable meaning check π‘
- Play or read the entire story to the community group.
- Ask corresponding translation questions to the group
- Record any wrong or unclear answers as that indicates where the meaning is not clear
Part 2: Lead a Language Community Check ποΈ
Objectives:
- To check the translation for natural/appealing language
- To check the translation for clear/understandable meaning

- Play or read the story to the community group.
- Ask members to stop the story when the language is not how they would say it.
- Record how the members say the words or phrases to make it sound like a speaker of their language.
